It was an unusually scorching August bank holiday. Seemed like the perfect day to go to an airshow.
Little Gransden Airfield is a small airfield in Cambridgeshire. Normally used for small private planes, once a year it throws it’s skies open for a charity airshow.
Whilst it isn’t a huge show in comparison to Duxford or Shuttleworth, it is still a chance to see some aircraft on show that you wouldn’t see normally.
It was a wonderfully sunny day. We went with family and enjoyed time wandering and chilling in the sun. Of course, I had my camera.
It was a nice sunny day with the sun behind me so the skies were glorious.
Being with family, I wasn’t as focused on the flying as I normally was, and with the heat, I didn’t have the camera up all the time. I did, however, get some pleasing photos.
It was a great little show with some great flying. This show marked a first for me in the fact that I left early. It was way way too hot to be out in direct sunlight without much cover.
I’ve missed this for the past few years, but I intend to keep it in my annual show list of for the future.
Thanks for looking.
