After a busy Saturday, we had a nice meal and settled in for an even longer day on the Sunday.
The Show – Day 2
The day started much like day with a modest breakfast to start us off. This time however, the traffic was easier, and we walked straight into the showground more or less.
After some more wandering around, we once again found our place for the display. This particular Sunday, however, was a hotter than the day before, a scorcher in fact. It was almost too hot.
But as with the day before. The showground was vibrant and the flying was excellent.
Sadly, no surprise flights again today, but we did get to see our favourite display in the Turkish “Solo Turk” F-16 display.
The hot weather bought about it’s own set of challenges. If I wasn’t fighting back lighting of the planes, I was fighting heat haze on the runway. But like the day before, I managed to get another bunch of shots I am very happy with.
Here is my collection from Day 2.
That’s all I’ve got from RIAT this year.
As I mentioned in my previous post for Day 1, I really feel like I have stepped up in my Photography recently, especially with aviation. I am really proud of myself for sticking with this for so long.
I will be back soon, and in September I have a 2 week trip to Europe and another air show at Duxford. So stay tuned.
Once again, thanks for looking, and thanks for following this journey.
