Bioparc Fuengirola, Fuengirola, 19th April 2017

So this year has been pretty quiet for me, I have hardly got out due to weather and various commitments.

From the 18th April, the wife and I spent a week in the Costa del Sol, Spain.

We have been to this area of Spain a number of times, and often spend our days wandering around visiting various attractions, bars and eateries along the coast, using the train as transport.

Our first stop on our trip was to the Bioparc in Fuengirola. Although we have visited it before, it has probably been 4 or 5 years, but as the weather was good (a rare thing as it would turn out) we decided to return. Sadly the tiger enclosure is being refurbished, so they were in their secondary enclosure away from the public.

I went packing my trusty D5200, which is a substantial improvement on the smartphone I used last time. Here’s the results.

Flamingos. Something had got them excited so they were screeching and waving their heads about… odd.

Crocodile, not the last you will see from my holiday travels.

Grey Crowned Crane… took me ages to find that name.

Diana Monkey.

Chimpanzee just chilling.

I’m looking for my Leopard… where could he be?

This ended up being one of, if not my favourite photo of the weekend. It looks to me like this Chimpanzee was deep in thought…. wonder what is running through his head?

Fruit Bat.

Gibbon hanging out.

Orangutan which apparently knows Kung Fu.

I can’t remember the name of this guy, but he was quite chatty.

Ring Tailed Lemur through the trees.

A closure shot.

He seemed quite interested when he worked out there were people around.

I hope you enjoyed that brief trip around the Bioparc. Even though it was our second time, and there was a hoard of Spanish kids marching and singing (I kid you not), it was an enjoyable wander in the sunshine.

Thanks for looking, keep and eye out for further reports this weekend.
